Ibiza is known as a partying kind of island and there is certainly nothing wrong in that. It brings in thousands of people every year to enjoy the lively nightlife and familiar destinations, and they all go home happy for having visited this island.
But there is another side to Ibiza – a side that you might be surprised to see. This is the rugged landscape that gives Ibiza another side to its character. If you have only ever visited the island with the intention of having a good time in the bars and clubs you may have missed out on this other side of Ibiza. But ironically it isn’t that hard to find and you may have been far closer to it than you ever thought you were before.
Around 50% of the landscape of Ibiza consists of wooded areas. That might be a hard fact to swallow if you have stuck to the beaches and the clubs, but it’s true. You don’t even need a map to hire a car and head out of whatever town or resort you are staying in to find woods and more rugged scenery to look at. It’s never that far away from your current location.
Ibiza is indeed a dramatic island, and for more than one reason. Many say the north east corner of the island has some of the best natural scenery you will find there. Cala San Vincente is just one of the areas you can visit for a totally different kind of holiday in Ibiza. If you thought the idea of staying in a pine forest in Ibiza was only a dream, you’ll find it to be a wonderful reality here. Even during the height of the party season on Ibiza, you will still be able to have a totally different holiday. No noise, no hassle and no stress – that’s what you get when you venture north and take on the ruggedness of this part of Ibiza.
It’s good to know you can enjoy something different and set away from the crowds on the island. No doubt you’ll want to go back for more of the same as well.
