GCSE subjects we teach
We teach GCSE maths at Foundation and Higher tier, English Language, English Literature, biology, chemistry and physics. The sections below explain how we approach each subject.
Maths
A good maths grade opens doors to so many next steps, and it's a subject where steady practice really pays off. We work at Foundation or Higher tier, matching your child's school entry, and build fluency in number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability and statistics. Strong mathematicians can ask us at the consultation about adding an extra maths qualification. For the full picture, visit our page on GCSE maths tuition.
English Language and Literature
English Language rewards close reading and clear, controlled writing, while Literature asks students to know their set texts well and argue about them with evidence. We help with both: annotating unseen extracts, planning answers under time pressure, learning useful quotations and shaping paragraphs that hit the assessment objectives. English can feel hard to revise, but it becomes far more manageable once students see exactly what each question is asking for. More detail will follow on our GCSE English tuition page.
Biology, chemistry and physics
The sciences combine a lot of content with required practicals, calculations and longer written answers. We break each specification into manageable topics, revisit the ones that slip, and practise the longer extended-response questions that often separate the grades. Lessons follow your child's board specification closely. Our GCSE science tuition page will go into each science in more depth.
